In 2026, Boston will take center stage for the nation’s Semiquincentinnial-the 250th anniversary of American Independence-and Boston Harborfest will be bigger, brighter, and more breathtaking than ever before! Where history, celebration, and the spirit of independence come alive on the waterfront! This weeklong festival is one of the largest Fourth of July festivals in the United States, featuring various activities and celebrations throughout the city!

7/2 – Adirondack Sunset Sail:

Experience a beautiful 2-hour Boston sunset sail on the water and see Boston’s iconic waterfront landmarks as the sun dips below the horizon. Within minutes of leaving the dock, you’ll forget the distractions of life on land, as you experience the ambiance of sunset sailing in Boston.
Highlights of this Boston Sunset Sailboat Tour:
- We will be shutting off our engines and setting sail for as much of this Boston sailboat tour as possible.
- This Boston boat tour sails by The Moakley Federal Courthouse at Fan Pier, the World Trade Center, as well as Harpoon Brewery.
- Enjoy views of the Boston Seaport District, featuring many newly constructed buildings, as well as the classic structures that originally comprised Boston’s waterfront community.

7/4 – U.S.S. Constitution Turnaround Brunch about Yacht Northern Lights:
Aboard Yacht Northern Lights for the July 4th turnaround cruise of the U.S.S. Constitution Ship, the oldest (1797) actively commissioned naval vessel in the world! The turnaround takes place once a year to celebrate our nation’s birthday, making the 4th of July in Boston truly patriotic. During the turnaround cruise, the U.S.S. Constitution Boston will sail into Boston Harbor where she’ll exchange a 21-gun salute with Castle Island’s Fort Independence. After the salutes, she will head back into the inner harbor and exchange cannon fire with the sector Boston’s United States Coast Guard base located in the North End. During this Boat ride in Boston aboard Yacht Northern Lights, enjoy up-close views of the event from Boston Harbor. Northern Lights features a climate-controlled interior salon with wrap-around windows along with an open upper deck for top views of the program.

As the sun sets over the Charles River, the Boston Pops Orchestra will take the stage at the Hatch Shell for an evening of breathtaking music, patriotic pride, and pure electric energy. The city will pulse with excitement as the Pops perform stirring tributes to America’s 250th journey. The reflections of the fireworks dancing on the Charles, the roar of the crowd and the powerful swell of the orchestra will create a moment you’ll never forget.
