Individual Responsible for Policy: Privacy Manager

At Wood & Huston Bank, the basis of each customer relationship, many of which span generations, is trust. Wood & Huston Bank is obligated to honor the relationship with our customers with great care; beginning with the information they have chosen to share with us. We believe that our customer’s privacy should not be compromised. At the same time, we want to offer them the array of financial products and services they need to accomplish their financial goals. We believe we can do both through the privacy policy outlined below.

Expectation of Privacy

At Wood & Huston Bank, we believe the confidentiality and protection of customer information is one of our fundamental responsibilities. And while information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that one of our most important assets is our customers’ trust. Thus, the safekeeping of customer information is a priority for Wood & Huston Bank.

Information Management

We collect, retain and use information about our customers only where we reasonably believe that it will help administer our business or provide products, services, and other opportunities to them. We collect and retain information about our customers only for specific business purposes – and we will tell them why we are collecting and retaining it upon their request. We use information to protect and administer their records, accounts, and funds; to comply with certain laws and regulations; to help us design or improve our products and services; and to understand their financial needs so that we can provide them with quality products and superior service.

Maintenance of Accurate Information

We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about our customers and their accounts. Should they ever believe that their records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about them, they should feel free to notify us. We will investigate their concerns and correct any inaccuracies.

Employee Access to Information

At Wood & Huston Bank, employee access to personally identifiable customer information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information. Employees are educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and on the Privacy Principles. Because of the importance of these issues, all Wood & Huston Bank employees are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and employees who violate the Privacy Principles will be subject to disciplinary measures.

Security Procedures

Wood & Huston Bank is committed to the security of your financial and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects customer account information from being accessed by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with our internal security standards.

Disclosure of Account Information

It is the bank’s policy not to reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence or business matter, unless 1) the information is provided to help complete a customer initiated transaction; 2) the customer requests or permits it; 3) the disclosure is required by or allowed by law (e.g., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, request by regulator, etc.); or 4) the customer has been informed and approves of sharing information as provided in our joint marketing agreement. We do not provide account or personal information to non-Wood & Huston Bank companies for the purpose of independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of any non-financial products or services of those companies.

Customer Inquiries

Wood & Huston Bank recognizes and respects the privacy expectations of our customers. We want our customers to understand our commitment to privacy in our use of customer information. As a result of our commitment, we have developed these Privacy Principles which are readily available to our customers.
